Yep - had our 150 ps T6.1 from new, it has done about 18k miles and this is the first time the adblue warning has come up. The vast majority of our driving is over an hour and at a steady 73 mph. Strangely the exhaust warning light has come up at same time. But does anybody know how big the adblue tank is on a this van.
Picked up the van today and the explanation for the adblue issue was that the tiny leak found in the pipe was causing a pressure problem in the tank , so when the adblue pump pulsed to inject it the level in the tanks was not compensating so the gauge read a low reading and then could not reset hence the drop from 5000miles to 650 but no max min level showing.
Sep 19, 2020. #2. Did you switch the ignition on and give it 30 seconds before starting? If not, pop out, turn the ignition on, hum a nice tune for 30 seconds and then start engine and see if that resets it. How much did you put in btw?
. The problem that I have only 15 km left! And nobody here in Vilnius (including officials) knows how to reset this counter. Do you have any ideas? P.S.: The question is not about how to fix AdBlue system — I have found pretty much information on that topic. The question is just about resetting the counter. Thanks.
It’s a horrible big bill but could have been so much worse. I guess with the AdBlue in there the action of opening the drivers door can sometimes prime the fuel system and could therefore suck some of the AdBlue in to the fuel lines without even starting, so the best option is to strip and flush it all through as Fuel Fixers did but it’s quite a job to do properly, and that all adds up.
Autel IM608 disabled VW T6 speed limited success . Option 3: VW Speed Limiter Removal via VCDS. As per the documentation prompt within VCDS reported the customer speed limiter can be reset with a login code (login/coding II) Once reset, the customer speed limit shows 250 kph in channel 14 which may be the same Vmax (by law – shown in channel 7).
as @VW Guru has mentioned in his informative post on the subject, the level in the adblue tank is measured using an ultrasonic sensor mounted at the bottom of the tank, to correctly measure the level there needs to be an air gap at the top. If you brim the tank the sensor can go into fault and no longer be calibrated and this leads to a fault
